What is that stuff? “It's sugar!” says Aimee Blake, the Founder of Sugar Sugar. Sugar Sugar is the rapidly growing spa concept specializing in organic sugaring hair removal and organic airbrush tanning.
Based in Scottsdale, Arizona, Sugar Sugar™ is the nation's only all-organic, sugaring franchise. Created at Aimee's kitchen table in 2012, the business offers sugaring, organic airbrush tanning and organic and vegan facials. Aimee says Sugar Sugar is committed to changing both the client expectation and the employee career outlook. “We knew aestheticians weren't performing the type of services they wanted and therefore, clients weren't getting the services they were paying for. That is what was happening with me. So that's what we set out to change about the business.”
Walking in to Sugar Sugar™, that is obvious. The company is modern, clean, smart and genuine. It doesn't take long to notice this is a fast-paced, all natural spa setting for professional man and woman.
We know you conceptualized Sugar Sugar at your kitchen table, how did that start? “In late 2012 we were visiting William's family in Scottsdale, Arizona. I wanted a “me day” and looked into getting sugared and a facial. I had fallen in love with sugaring while living in Seattle. Talk about a game changer for me and my skin”.
After a thorough Google search, she realized there were no sugaring places in Arizona. “I knew sugaring could be a better method if executed correctly,” said Blake. “But no one had built a centralized, consistent and clean sugaring business capable of scaling. I recruited my husband, William. And that's what we set out to create.”
William had owned a digital advertising agency specializing in advanced content creating and media buying. That has helped Sugar Sugar with it's clean, scalable branding. The company creates it's own content and uses actual clients in it's campaigns.
They haven't looked back since. With two corporate locations, two more on the way and talks for franchises in California and Texas; the company is growing quickly thanks to an advanced franchise infrastructure and a state-of-the-art membership plan.
