Our business model does not require the expense of building a pool and instead we rent under-utilized pool space at fitness facilities, tennis clubs and community centers. Our operational model can get up and going quickly with low overhead. Registration fees are collected up-front giving you instant cash-flow once you start registering.
You will be the business owner and not the swim instructor. You will hire that expertise so you can focus on where you will be most valuable; building the business! The demand for swim lessons will never cease and is both recession-proof and Amazon-proof. You are offering a critical skill to the community as you will be in the business of saving lives! And the best part is that new customers are born every minute!
The overhead is mainly payroll and rent with smaller items like insurance, phone, internet, etc. A small program will quickly build to at least 200 swimmers/week with 1 instructor in the water weekdays 4:00pm-8:00pm and weekends from 9:00am-3:00pm. With an average tuition of $200/season and 6 seasons/year, gross sales using these conservative numbers would yield $240k. Expenses will be around $100k max leaving you with a nice profit. Expanding your hours and running 2 instructors, and even expanding to new locations, at the same time will help grow this business into an outstanding opportunity!
